Text buffer oddity

In the new version, my text buffer has a "ripple" in it.  On one of the lines, whatever is displayed there has a line where what's displayed is cut in half and off by a couple pixels.  It's sort of like tearing except it's not motion dependent, it's just there.

I too have this and it will go away if I expand the buffer....when I type in the buffer some of the letters are so distorted that I cant make them out and think they are typos
