F4U Bug
« on: September 18, 2018, 11:41:28 AM »
I recently noticed when cutting the RPM in the F4U-1a it also cuts the Manifold pressure. I was able to cut RPMs before and maintain manifold pressure when I am low on fuel returning to base. I have not tried it in other F4U's as yet. Please have a look at it HTC. TY  :salute

Not a bug, It depends on altitude. When you lower rpm the supercharger can no longer make full throttle manifold pressure.

RPM & Manifold Pressure work together hand in hand directly, it doesn't matter which one you mess with, be it your throttle(Manifold Pressure) or Blade Pitch(RPM)....either one will have an effect on the other one

iirc

Edit: what HT said also.... He beat me to the post
