European TOD update
« on: September 06, 2001, 03:49:00 PM »
Below is a list of the information I received from the European TOD post asking about: squad names
committed pilots.
C.O.?s
favored times

Many did not post all the information I requested. Please read the information below and correct any errors you see. In addition if you want your squad listed and it is not, please say so here.

The low total is 47, not counting the single pilots, (guests). I think that is promising.  :) When it is all done I will run it by our head CM banana for approval.

I want to thank many of you for your encouraging posts.  :) As for the rest, (selector and seeker) please run your own event. I will get out of your way. And don?t forget to call HTC and tell them what a lousy job I am doing.

Lastly to make it clear this information is for a European time TOD, not for moving the current TOD. I am looking at running two ?separate? TOD?s. There is no reason squads can?t fly in both. For example Ammo?s 56th Squad is listed below and is also flying in the Friday night TOD. I think to avoid confusion I will refer to the Friday night TOD as the U.S. TOD and what I am looking into here as the European TOD. The U.S. TOD has been very successful and I see no reason we can?t have the same for a European TOD.  :D

Hi I believe I would be flying as a member of VMF-115 as they are part of the Mag-33 group rather than as a single pilot, however as Rocket is CO of VMF-115 probably best to get his word on the subject first.

daddog,
We will be putting Cav and Ducky on our regular roster for the TOD.  Our numbers may bump up during registration also  :)  :) (I put in a low number I knew we could meet for sure until I can get 100% word back from the rest of the guys)

If the Mongrels don't fly in the Euro timed TOD, you can count me in as a guest pilot as long as it's starting after 1300GMT or so.   :D

Only caveat is that I would miss some Saturdays if it coincided with my college's home football games.  I've already got the season tix, I only miss if I am physically unable to go (such as this weekend  :( )

Not to worry guys. I posted here with the info just for the reason I might have made some errors. I will update and correct it in time.

As for a date don't know yet. Just depends on how smoothly things go with the U.S. TOD.

Is TOD still set for tonight?

My Squad has been unusually quiet this week, largely due to the disaters in NYC and Washington DC.

So far, I appear to be it from the RCAF planning on being there, I just havent heard a thing from the rest of the guys since Tuesday.
