Yep, just spent awhile downloading and the new download works but it wants my username and password which I didn't write down anywhere.  I do have my original Aces High III folder saved but I don't know what folder the username and password file or my joystick settings are saved in.

Ok, I found the file with my username and password.  I was hoping I could use my original folders to play after reinstall so I could keep all my joystick settings, skins etc. but it keeps telling me I am starting from the non-installation folder even though I changed the names so my original folder had the name of the new installation folder (and I changed the new installation folder to something else).

Back in the saddle again. I copied all the folders over from the original install into the new one and everything is back to normal. I can even use DX11 when I couldn't before!

In the "settings" folder is a file named "login.cfg" which contains the login information.  It is a plain text file so you can open it with Notepad, it you like, or copy it to the new "settings" folder.

By the way, the DX9 version of the game may have problems if the computer is not kept very, very clean due to how DirectX 9 uses twice the resources of DirectX 11.  Just FYI.
