Zoom/Movement Map Keys don't work

So as the title suggests, the keys that give the editor[ctrl&shift] aren't working whenever I start to create a mission. This essentially kills the point of using the app whenever the online numbers are low.

The contents on the help page doesn't open, and even tried to unplug/replug my keyboard, but to no success.
I looked at another thread here about a pdf file, but cannot find it anywhere in the AH3 folder.

Is this a bug or is there something I'm missing on my end?

Aren't the zoom and movement keys: A,S,D,W,Z?

Not sure. The last time I remembered, using the mouse buttons w/ctrl or shift usually did the trick.

If it is the case, why did they change the settings for it?

They did change the zoom keys, but for the life of me I can't remember where I saw that.  Just remember having the same problem.  Will keep looking.

W zoom in
S zoom out
A move left
D move right
Q move up
Z move down
Not caps, just hit key, not shift-key
