This is an adopted skin that Fencer originally did.
"Ho-Hum the Second" was flown by Lt. Lloyd Wenzel of the 474th fighter group / 428th fighter squadron & were part of the Ninth Air Force. They mostly performed ground attack throughout Europe.
When looking for photos for this plane I was surprised that it had partial D-day stripes on the tail booms. Was not aware that the P-38L model was available for D-day in time.
Some clearly were.
