If masks work and we have been >95% compliant why do we have record infections today a year later?

Maybe they don't and it is all hogwash about they do?

Or is it all the "super spreader" events we should blame.
.??

Eagler
I highly doubt that 'we' as a country have been greater than 95% compliant. Source?

Cases seemingly started to rise again at the end of summer, presumably from a combination of things such as fatigue (from not being able to do much of anything) or various parties/gatherings where more than likely these folks would not be wearing a mask at said gathering. You've got kids home from school, kids home from college, bars/restaurants are open, Halloween parties, Thanksgiving gatherings, Christmas gatherings, New Year's parties.

It will be what it will be at this point.

The disease triangle is pest-host-enviroment.  So do not forget about the two parts of the triangle pest and environment.   There is much we do not know.

One interesting observation is that cases are spiking in many different places, to explain all of that with a social guess is almost unrealistic.

I respectfully ask you guys to stop posting bs. only  made this thread to see if anybody else had similar results as my wife.  I'm trying to find at least one and compare see if it's permanent or temporary. I  don't want this thread locked.

thanks

 What's the problem?

I assume duration would depend on where damage was done and how well can the body repair it.

Also, virus infection has been known to trigger almost unrelated disease. Like late onset type 1 diabetes.
