It should run most everything you can think of at a high speed and resolution. For that price tag it would be disappointing if it won't.

Is it a good deal for the price? I have no reference because all the prices are so crazy.

All I can tell about the price is that it's ridiculous!

I can't compare American prices to ours as the VAT percentage is different etc. but for what I've seen people build on this forum that's about $500 higher than it should.

Any ideas where I could get it for $500 less? I don't need the drives or the case. Just m/b ram, cpu, video card

You can't build one cheaper?

Never purchased a built desktop only laptops.

My I9 box started out as a 286 about 28 years ago.

I'm sure one could be built cheaper but the problem is getting a decent video card.   Pricing/availability is still ridiculous.

I have heard that nVidia will be flooding the market with 3060s soon (just before AMD releases their new 6600 and 6600XT), and that video card should run Aces High at high resolution like a champ, and should handle VR well if you go that route.

That machine should be able to run almost ANY game, no matter how poorly it is written.

...actually, I could write a game so poorly that it would not run even on that monster, but thereafter I would be too ashamed to show my face in public.

LOL!

Yeah that PC is VR ready and should blast any game at 1440p with 60+ fps

Seems the only problem is the price.

Can anybody price a similar build without the case and drives for less?

Earlier it was noted that the build should be 500 less.

I think its $500 more just due to the times we are in. Everything electronic is higher than normal due to supply and demand. Very little supply due to the pandemic and high demand due to the low supplies. If you wait until supply catches up to demand you could save that $500 in 6-12 months or so. Seeing as you posted that machine as an option the money may not be a big deal to you, where as many people like me that is just a pipe dream.

I dont think you'll be able to do much better even if you spent the next couple of weeks hunting around to part it out and build it yourself, never mind the availability of those parts (the computer you posted the link for is on back order now).

Thanks for the detailed response.

I was thinking I might be able to get it cheaper if I built it but the video card would be half the cost of the machine from what I've seen.

Guess I'm gonna have to keep on keepin on with my 1070 and 4th gen I7 :)

It's playable in VR but far from optimal.
