This is an update of my sound pack that finally fixes the little things I've come to hate. With the single exception of the early model Spitfire engine runs. Included are fixes/updates for:
Fw-190A8 cannons now all sound similar instead of the odd "pop" where a "bam" should be.
Engine pitch: P-51's, 190 Dora, Ta-152, Spit XI, Arado, and one or two others I forget at the moment.
Gun fixes/updates: Hispano cannon, B-26 .50 cals now unsynched, Ta-152 30mm cannon has more oomph, VYa-23 cannons revised, LVTA4 main gun volume boosted, Type 99 cannons slightly revised.
Nothing new for 1.08 is in this release, or on the horizon. For now I've had to stop updating this pack for each version due to computer/money trouble. Anyway, here's the link:
Ultimate Sound Pack v2.5For those using my current sounds, a 1.6 meg patch is available. Otherwise, you're looking at a 26 meg zip file to download. Yes, zip file. Due to problems with my previous installer I couldn't get the directory set right. So on a suggestion from Funky both are now zip files. The main install goes in your "HTC\Aces High\sounds" directory, while the patch is stuffed in "HTC\Aces High". Strange way to work it, but it's all I could figure out. You don't have a zip program? Try this, it's freeware, it works, and it's what I've had for years:
