Bf 109G-14 flown by Otto Leisner of 1./Jg 300 in the autumn of 1944. This Otto Leisner is not to be confused with the Dutch media personality of the same name. This aircraft is one of several I/Jg 300 late G-6/G-14's with tall tails that received an unusually dark camouflage pattern of what I presume to be splotches of RLM 70 black-green over an overall coat of RLM 74 gray-green over the standard RLM 76 light blue. Minimal data stenciling was painted over this scheme. The coat of arms of Bonn, Germany is painted on the cowl, apparently used as the insignia for the Gruppe.
Leisner would later be posted to Jg 7 to fly the Me 262, where he would achieve 4 victories and survive the war.
