Been having a strange occurance with my F-16 FLCS lately. Out of the blue it will suddenly start, apparently in random order, activating the various prgrammed buttons. It's a tad disconcerting to be saddled up 200yds back, about to squeeze the trigger, and your view zooms and starts hitting the various snap views, flaps go up and down, auto pilot modes start going on and off, doors opening and closing (seeing that message anyway, no doors on a pony

), trim adjusting itself, etc etc etc ad nauseum.

Could it be the chips in it just going out? Or does it not like my new m$ internet keyboard? This flakiness started right after I took my WCS out of the keyboard loop cause it apparently died (yes I took the WCS stuff out of the b50 file).

You should try reinstalling the software for it. If that doesn' work download the latest driver for it offline and there should be no conflict with the MS Internet Keyboard. CavemanJ

erm... drivers?

For as far back as I can remember I've always set it up in windoze as a 3axis 2button stick with rudders. Read that's how ya do it somewhere.

I did take all the stuff for the WCS out of my b50 file and reload it if that's what yer askin. (Didna I already say that?)

I'm wondering if any of the other die hard TM users have had a problem like this and what caused it.

BTW Blue, are you from the "sidewinder generation"? You talkin about drivers makes me ask that question

Download DXTweak.exe from Logitech, unzip it in the Windows\System folder and use it to clean the joystick info in your registry.

If you can't find a copy I'll email it to you.

I found a LWS_CLRC.exe, which says it will strip all the calibration for ALL game devices from the registry. Is this what you were talking about?

It's not a problem with the calibration. Only problem there is having to recalibrate in AH every so often. The problem seems to be in the keyboard emulation, with the stick going nuts every so often randomly sending the programmed keystrokes in quick succession.

Actually Caveman I am from the SideWinder generation, but when I go to my dad's house (blueice) I use his CH Rudder Pedals and his CH Fighterstick, so I do have some experience with CH

Welp we'll give it a shot. Can't hurt I guess.

But I still don't see what removing calibration stuff from the registry has to do with the keyboard emulation part of the sticks (which is the part that is screwing up!)

Cavey... sounds like either something is up with your F16 FLCS keyboard cable or something similar. I'd suggest getting rid of the damn cable. Get these chips and you won't need it anymore.
