here's one of my film viewer wishes:

Associate .ahf with film viewer and allow user to double click on ahf file anywhere on hard drive to start film viewer with that film.  It crashes if you try to do that now.

Kweassa;
The view scripter is a good idea and basically takes the part of an edit decision list which a lot of Analog and DV editing programs use e.g. you first define the clips or parts of clips you want and then click on "make the movie".  The program then does the tedious task of putting all your scenes together.  While this is going on you walk away from the puter for a while.

Regarding the idea of pausing the .avi encoding process (rendering) let me tell you that you don't want to do that as what is going on is quite complicated and time consuming.  Believe me I know as one of my video editing projects was editing my daughter's entire wedding consisting of 5 hrs. of SVHS master tape down to 2 hrs. of .avi  Granted when I did this 7 years ago I didn't have the puter punch I have today but it was endless and the whole project took me 1 year.  Had I waited another year I could have skipped the whole thing as she got divorced and my masterpiece is now unviewed :(

 * ability to pause the avi encoding process.. the most needed function
   as of now. If this is technically impossible, I  wouldn't  mind  a  more
   complicated method of "view scripter".. where the views and  camera
   angles would automatically change in the way the user pre-set it.
   (hmm.. come to think of it.. the "view scripter"'s the more better way..)

If you disable NumLock, you can use the arrow keys on the numpad, but its unreliable.  The beeps occur using any other key (zoom in/out) and so forth.. and they occur when numlock is on (allowing for much more precise view control).

I should like to have possibility of:

* name icons for enemy planes in movie window
* backward slow motion
* visible tracers from other planes (if they used them)
* possibility to show the "damage list" for my plane and planes I hit during recording of film :)  (to check what damage did my hits should be one of most interesting things for me)

and what others have said  (my plane icon, view in gunner position, sound of my plane, flight info for my plane if I switch to other plane).

wow, just found out ah voice is recorded in films!  that is too cool.

on the subject of icons, others have noted that it would be nice to have an icon on your own airplane, and also be able to turn off icons.  I agree, and would add that icons in recorded AVIs, if you choose to display icons, should be much larger (or adjustable), so they can actually be legible once the film has been run through a compression algorithm.  also, please consider adding visible external ordinance/tanks to filmer's aircraft.
