Wow, that thing took some damage!

I was down to only 97 rounds of .50 cal on that last run, so I was gunning for your elevator...almost..hehe.

I got you beat!    This poor c47 (besides the visible damage) was later hit by another enemy 109, who took out my right engine and landing gear.  I was able to fly the plane on one engine almost all the way back to base, but without landing gear and needing to maintain a high speed to maintain flight, I died on landing.

You bet it was fast!    I was ROFL after the 109 that first hit me augered when ts came to clear my 6, unfortunately he took one of my wingtips.  About 1 minute later another 109 attacked me, taking out the other wingtip.  All of the sudden my plane started flying nice and level, but I needed to maintain about 200 mph to keep from stalling.  I also couldn't turn, but I found that by using rudder and cutting power to one engine I could make slow wide turns.  I even managed to get over the enemy base and drop, but alas one of the acks was up.  During my rtb ANOTHER 109 attacked me.  He took my right engine and landing gear away from me.  Fortunately he was chased away before he could finish me.  Unfortunately I wasn't able to land, because I was going about 160 mph when I hit the ground with no landing gear.  I did about 3 cartwheels before getting the "you have been killed" message.
