Well, I know I'm on the CT staff, so an "atta-boy" from me is like a kiss from your sister, but hey...I had a great time flying this week.  One of the better, as far as the CT goes (and that's really saying something for me:)).  I rediscovered my previous affection for the 109 series in general, and have come to really appreciate the 109G-2, a plane I hardly ever flew before.  I mean, wow...I actually shot down Ammo while he was flying a P51 the other day!  I can count the number of times I've bested him on one hand and still have fingers left over to hold a mug of coffee;).

Thanks for all the participation this week, and thanks to Nuttz for the terrain and Brady for the set up. Salute!

I Had fun in this one also. I don't think it was reset, but was some good fun fights. Some furballs, some 1vs1's No long flytime to find a fight. Bradys5 did a great job balancing the planeset. Player participation was really good you guys make the fun!
One thing that I missed was a good GV Vs. GV fight out in the sand. Hazed had a great GV mission up and we were just looking and wanting an Allied GV defense, too bad it never happened. Ripsnort have a Mission up North as ours was South west. Maybe next time.

Ok, Now onto the map, A few errors.

I redid the cloud cover. Removed the "storm" and cut the other r cloud fronts to just a few clouds for "realism".

I fixed a few spawn points that didn't go nowhere ( actually did, but bridge was removed). Fixed A34 and A35 Hangers.
Removed A10 double runway field, replaced it with a Large field ( less CLutter).  Fixed A10 VH H spawn point, that dropped you from 192 feet in the air ( also left over from bridge). FIxed A55 Maproom.

IF this is ran again in the CT, I can Send this off to Pyro, Of course that means another down load when it's ran again.

Awesome terrain, glad to see your sticking with it.

Awesome setup, this was even better than BOB IMO although both were fun.

Notice I used the words "Fixed" thats past tense:)

Like I said It's Fixed. But it's not my call, if HTC wants to reload it, I'll fire it off to Pyro.

As far as using it for a TOD, would anything need to be changed?

Here's an innocent suggestion nuttz:

On the Stalingrad map I noticed a very cool layer of clouds... the "puff" clouds we usually see in the MA. BUT these clouds had been arranged so there were 2 layers of them... 1 layer being 800ft or 500ft below or above the other one. The result was fantastic! It was MUCH, MUCH better and more immersive fighting in such clouds than in the gloomy, lighting-screwing , (and for some,) fps lowering storm cloud layer.


Would it be possible to have the maps have "puff" cloud layers 500 ft apart from each other at the same time in Tunisia? Would be mighty cool!

Exelent setup for sure, EXELENT map although I am glad you removed the storm layer (it lowered my FPS from 50 to 15).
I sure hope we see it again soon!

CT CM's, great job in balancing the plane set! Don't feel any side was left out here, allies had the better planes but those were limited :)

Tac, I really didn't want clouds at all in Tunisia, since it is a very dry place. I was going to research the BBS and post all the quotes from the players to show WHY I came to build this map. I read the bbs all the time, There were some complaints Perdonia had not clouds, HiTech said don't sacrifice gameplay for Real life feildplacements /landmass. So, I opted to put CV's into the game, and clouds. I wasn't really trying to re-creat the war in Tunisia ,but get a close feel for the geographic area. I don't think the CT team IS even trying to re-create ww2, they can't, the planeset isn't there. If AH has clouds and GV's and CV's then I felt they should be in the game, reading Laz's "partity" and "choices" removing these would only support his argument even more. Somehow the frame rate hit was HUGE at the default clouds I used. I have No idea why, I flew in the MA in same storm and althoug I have a FR hit, It is nowhere Near the hit I take In Tunisia. So I opted to change it to a scattered less dense single clouds. Something I should of done in the first place , but was swayed trying to look into the crystal ball seeing what players would complain about.  

I am very happy with Tunisia's out come, another thing. After a map is completely finished it needs to be checked, not only by me but by other players ( thats why there are Proofreaders) , theres just to many things to check and some bugs always get over looked. I can only rely on the players to help me test it in H2h, I thank the players that did show up and help. Hazed was a Big help, and a few others, I do appreciate their help. hazed and brady helped me fix at least 100 out of the 500 or so spawn points that had you stuck on a hill, died, too close/far from an enemy feild, ETC.

all in all about 6 "bugs" got threw, so I am very happy with the percentages.

I have another map nearing completion for Bradys5 to use in the CT, and have another map "Tara" shortly behind it.

OOpps , got away from your original question,. yes the cloud editor lets you place the number of rows,the number of clouds per row, and the minimum/ maximum alt's within the "group" of clouds., besides the length and depth and cloud type,speed, and direction.

Last CT with Nuttz terrain i was having to force myself to go into the MA to keep my hand in with the F6F.
Unfortunately with the current PAC CT setup i am having to try and think why i should stay in there when i am not enjoying it.
As far as I am concerned Tunisia cannot come back fast enough.
