More open scenarios?
« on: June 10, 2002, 01:12:58 PM »
I'd like to see a regular open scenario event (maybe once a month?). Currently the only historical scenarios being run are squad-based TOD events which I'm sure are great but it's kind of annoying for those of us who aren't in a permanent squad. While I realize there are guest spots available for TOD events I really don't want to have to go and ask some squad's permission so I can participate in an event. I also think that open events are important in getting new players involved in events: I can see it being very intimidating for a new player who either isn't in a squad or whose squad is fairly un-organized to have to track down and established squad and ask for a guest spot. An open event gives new players the chance to participate just by turning-up in the SEA at the right time: the old sunday afternoon snapshots were perfect for this.

I read somewhere in here that the Snapshots are coming back.
And you can fly TOD with 308 any time you want.  :)

Patience, my friends.  :)

We're working on bringing in some Saturday events that will all be "open."   Expect Snapshots to be a part of this Saturday lineup.  (the sunday time slot is spoken for with the Euro friendly TOD).

Thanks Funked! I might take you up on that this Friday  (assuming my flight back home is on time). I'm interested to see what the TOD events are like (heard a lot of good things so far).
Do I have to supply my own vodka?

DOH I should have mentioned that 308 flies Sunday TOD.  We are about 1/2 in North America and 1/2 in Poland.

I fly back to California at 3pm EST this week so I guess I'll have to miss out.
Thanks for the offer anyway.

It would be the following week anyway - this coming Sunday is the week break between TODs...  :)

Yes I agree, an open scenario series would be a good thing overall.
