After getting shot down multiple times in the 190 today, I decided I should probably learn some new defensive moves for it.  Anyone have any favorites they want to pass on?

A good defensive move against the 190 is to get a P-51 or a Typhoon and leave the 190 choking on fumes.

LOL!

Ummm...P51 can run all he wants, I will turn away keeping an eye on him...if he dares to turn back on me he will find himself facing 4x20mm

And If it is a typhoon I will turn too, if he dares to turn towards me he will lose half his speed   so no problem here, too

Lefto...flick and flee?...sounds a lot like P51 basic ACM. Dive, fire, if you miss, run away screaming like the -now proverbial- Screaming little girl

51??? Bwahahahahahahaaha...

Just nose that 190 over, look back and watch them 51 dweebs rip their wings off.

If ya get stuck on the deck just turn fight him, despite what most people believe a 190 _will_ outturn a 51 on the deck.

Ummm no, a 51 will outturn a 190...after giving himself at least 2 or 3 snapshots   (been there done that).

If you are going to turn with a 190 in the deck you will get low...and slow. P51 is simply a pig when slow, its rollrate equals its acceleration...sucking.

190 accelerates well, so it can win E faster, and rolls awesome at all speeds, so it can win snapshots. If you stay clear of 190's guns you will win. But If the 190 knows his job you are done.

The best defensive manuever in any BnZ plane is good Situational Awareness (SA) and patience. Know when to fight, and know when to leave.

Preserve your E, and always stay on TOP of the fight. If you see dots coming towards the fight, and you are not sure they're your team, disengage and come back another day.

And rip the wings off on a P-51? Come on Vulcan   I have had the IAS gauge pegged and not ripped the wings off a Pony. All you have too do anyways is let the con go pure vertical, do a lazy corkscrew dive (lag pursuit), and when he has to level out I will be above, behind, and in a faster plane.   So please all 190 pilots take this advice

My experience as a dedicated Pony driver says that while the Pony and 190 both stink at turning. If all other things are equal the Pony will win any turn fights with his flaps.

Of course the better pilot will usually be the deciding factor.

Bring on the P47 and the Luftwaffles will be run down like curs. Bring on the Jug and the 190s will have nowhere to hide and no amount of tricks will save you...muahahaha...

If I kill F4Us in Fw190 then Jug will be easy meat.

I dont fear it. Yep, Bring the P47D. And I'll eat it like I eat Hawgs.

I have some nice film of a 51 that chased me down with a 205, I ran outta ammo. But the film is of us turning on the deck, he has his flaps out and still can't turn better than my A8... maybe u guys ain't come up against the right 190 yet.

Wanna rip the wings off a 51? Put her in a dive and once ya needle starts maxing try a little roll and a little bit of nose up - 190 gets away with it - 51 don't :-)
