Spit I's enabled at A22 and A23 in Norway

S!

Have enabled Spit I's at a couple British bases.  Spits were not common at this time and were not based outside Britain, but I'm probably not stretching it too much by having them there.

Yeah, I like the hurri more than that early spit.  It is a very fragile plane, and does not perform better than the 109 in climb or mid alt performance.  The loss of 2 303s doesnt help much either.

edit...

Although it does make bomber escorts possible.  nudge nudge wink wink...

actually I enjoy flying the spit I   I fly it the MA although I have no kills and 4 assist  and 4 deaths it is a very fun a/c to fly when your base is overrun by the enemy.

you will need them for bomber escort those bostons are gawd aweful but they are fast therefore they require an intercept course and someone to scout for them to cut them off.

so we can look forward to another one of your bombing missions on thrs hopefully.

the 27th sentai ran a bombing mission lastnight too bad only a token force upped to try to stop us we laid waste to a4 hitting all but the fh and vh with no losses to us.

didnt see you guys last night where were you all?

anyway good luck with your spitfire

We were trying to be  a usn squad, so we went south and launched off of a carrier that had tbms enabled.  We were mostly practicing our dive bombing.  Then somebody sunk the carrier so we all logged.

The everlasting furball is what I do on non squad nights, so I like to do something with a 'point' on squad nights.  Kinda hard with this scenario, but we will try something with the spits and bostons.  We were considering doing a huge boston raid yesterday, but with only 2k of eggs, its really not that impressive of a mission, particularly when you have no self defense.  Man that tail gun is worthless in a formation.

So your saying that trying to intercept our Fighter/Bomber sortie was pointless.....thats ok, it was!!

P6e where were you guys flying?  Up north?  Why on earth were you escorting ju88s?  They are almost faster than the 109e!

That was my job! I dont choose my missions, I just follow orders. Appearently unlike you American flyers, we dont just give up because of being outplaned...or as you call it..."pointless" flying!

Thats not what I meant by pointless.  I mean that attrition has no impact so furballing endlessly has no 'point'.

edit:
Not that it isnt fun, but when you want to do squad ops and keep it realistic, you need some 'reason' real or imagined to be doing what you are planning to do.
