What's the technical explanation for why the arena becomes locked, anyway?   Is it something the players are doing intentionally?   Is it a map problem?

If it IS related to base capture/map resets, I'd just as soon see base captures disabled in the CT until its fixed.    Was really disappointed I couldn't get in last night.

All I can say is, I'm sorry.  I reset the arena Monday night.  Yesterday I was feeling poorly, so I went to bed right after dinner.  It's hard to imagine anyone could have taken enough bases Tuesday afternnoon to cause a reset by Tuesday evening...I just don't know what's going on with the CT server.  I'll send another e-mail to Pyro, and see if he can shed any light on the problem.  For all you Tuesday-night players, again, I'm sorry.  I feel yucky about it, but not as yucky as I did last night.

Sabre, there is no way this should always fall on you.  If you're not delegating already, start doing so! :)

Since the CT gets around 10% of MA numbers, I think it would be good for HTC to pay at least some attention to it.  After all, as many have pointed out here, we just don't fly in that steaming dung heap of an MA.  Without the CT (or soon the Mission Theater) we have no reason to be customers.

It would be nice to get a reply from HTC once in a while on this board.

Agree Miska, we are a large enough community, the days where the CT was a tiny little "expirament" are gone. Would be nice to see ONE post from HTC here.

Hey! some of us play Aces High too!

Just sent an e-mail to Pyro, asking if he can look into this latest spat of reset/lock-ups.  I'll post as soon as I hear anything.  In the mean time, all I can do is keep checking it as often as possible.  Thanks for you patience, and sorry again for those who were forced to seek solace in the MA last night.

Thanks, Sabre!   FWIW you do an aces job!

You know, it never even crossed my mind to switch to the MA when I found the CT locked.

Yep, Oboe, you're hopelessly hooked on the CT;).  By the way, I just heard back from Skuzzy.  They unlocked the arena and explained why it was locked after the reset.  Turns out to be my fault.  I normally lock the CT during set up.  This time, I saved the tables before I unlocked the arena, inadvertantly saving the "locked" setting as well (never even occured to me).  So when the reset occured, it reloaded the tables and duefully locked the arena as the tables instructed .

That still doesn't explain how it got reset Tuesday, but at least part of mystery is solved.

I went to the MA when I saw the CT was locked there was 537 people on at the time so I upped a SpitI and headed to the nearest furball. there must have been a 100 planes in that ball one of the largest I have seen any way in dove in and mixed it up for about 10 min downed a 190 and assisted on a ki61 decided to bug out for home and was jumped by 2 p51's and a yak mixed it up for  few min finally the yak got me

All and all it was just pointless and logged and went to the h2h rooms that got old soon too, so me and the wife had some quiet/quility time , with 4 kids these moments are rare so it wasnt a bad night after all.

Hehe...know that feeling, Key.  Got four (not-so-little) kids myself.  Skuzzy says Dale might have an idea on these random resets, and is on the case.

Hehe Lowe... I don't use CINCHOUSE at anytime she may be within earshot!! ;)   That would be very, VERY bad!

I know the CM's are working hard with each and every setup....... big to all!  A thankless job most of the time trying to keep us idiots  :p  happy with what AH has given you to work with.  Keep up the good work!!  Hope to make it up tomorrow night before this setup gets replaced.
