Ok guys .....
« on: October 07, 2002, 01:43:56 AM »
I really like some of the plane arts here.
My Terrain edditor is crashing when i try to open a plane sheme.
So it looks like i dont have a chance to edit a plane in the near future.
Do u guys think about sharing the arts with other people ?

And is it possible to use them without a working terrain edditor ?

btw vorticon: If u dont have to say anything usefull, plz say nothing.

What do you mean "Open a plane scheme"?

The first step to creating textures is to make a simple map, with three airfields(one for each side).

once you have that map working in the game, then its time to stick new textures into it.

i am not talking about creating a map.
What i mean is that i am not able to pick a plane texture in the Editor and put it into the little window where i can save it.
All the time i pick a plane texture or whatever in the Terrain editor
its shuting down himself.

You need a map open before you can save a texture.  Editing textures without creating a basic map is going to pretty useless.

errr what do you mean open a plane scheme. ...after you have created a map (dont have to be much just a airfeild on some land) you go into objects select the plane you want to edit and select save object ctextures (a button to that effect) then go into the folder with the same name as your terrain go into the subfolder saved textures (something to that effect again) there will be several bitmaps there.  flip any upside down ones to vertical then go into the bmp that looks like it has fuselage and wings (with whatever  editor you have) and just change things.

hope that helps

sorry for jumping down your throat before

YOU DO NOT OPEN THE SCHEME IN THE TERRAIN EDITOR
