Author Topic: Con Webcam testing.... (Read 185 times)

The UK Con Webcam is now being tested, and will probably remain on most of the time until shortly before the Con starts (while we are travelling there!

). There will be times when we are not connected to the internet - overnight mainly - but it will still show the last picture recorded.

There is also a chat window on the same page, for any live chats during the Con.... one of us (me or Zeb) will occasionally be logged in to that over the next few days.

Also linked to the webcam site is a Guest Book and a Photo Album. The Guest Book is active, but the Photo Album is still under development. The webcam page itself is also still being developed and changes may be made before the Con itself.

Please take a look at the Con Webcam and post here if there are any problems or if you have any comments.

I looked, it works, but if you want to rival the Warbirds Convention, I think that you need to point that thing up someone's skirt.

Thanks... yeah it is a bit cold, and I think it was raining earlier.... dark now, may have to point the camera inside...

That's pretty cool, Flossy

I wish we had something similar at the US AH con. One thing on the chat thing, and it's not a big deal, is that the button that pops the chat box to its own window is mostly hidden. I think that if the embedded window is made wider it will reveal itself.

In any event - good work. Please save off the pages and web code so we can co-opt it for next year's US con

Not sure I know what you mean, sudz? Are you sure it's not a problem with your browser, as the "Float" button looks perfectly OK to me?

Thanks.... you would need to contact Trip about the website, though....

Very doubtful I will get to the US Con, much as I would love to go (been an ambition of mine all through my AW years and more recently in AH to go to a US Con some day!). Unfortunately, with Zeb facing possible redundancy sometime over the next two years, the chances of going are looking less and less likely.... one day.....
