There, I'm not much of an expert, but finally got some time to work on your grandfathers Typhoon. :) Since there wasn't enough info on the port side or the wings of Mr. Brain's Typhoon, the real work was only done on the starboard sides.

Minor adjustments on the default Typhoon camouflage to match Mr. Brain's Typhoon, and the port side is mostly out of speculation. Of course, the designation "JP504: SF@R" is there ... The wings, seemed better off using the defaults, with the invasion stripes on the underside.

I hope this can be of some solace, in memory of Mr. Brain..

Cool Kweassa. I've had limited time so mine is sitting 1/2 done. :(

I was going to finish it off in the next couple of days. I might still.... There's a couple of new techniques I wan to try out and this scheme would be a good subject to mess around with.

Berra, that typh skin is 1024x1024 res. Its the res I use while working because hopefully some time in the near future HTC will start accepting 512x512 pixel textures.

If/when this happens I'll be able to just reopen my 1024x1024 work and resize it to 512x512 instead of the current 256x256... no extra work.

Plus they look bloody amazing  :)

Yup..quality of textures is one of the greatest things that contribute to the looks of the game other than the absolute quality of 3D models.

Staying with 256x256 is getting really really old.

Just look how much different the same Typhoon we see everyday feels when it's textures are 1024x1024 as shown in gatso's pic. I bet many people will be very surprised, thinking "is this really the AH I know???" when oneday we might get textures in higher resolution.
