The CT, and CV hardness.

The CT is different from the MA.

In the MA, CT hardness needs to upped so that CVs last more than 5 minutes.

In the CT, CVs almost NEVER seem to die from aircraft action.  So few are willing to attack them with planes that it's rarely more than 1 or two men willing to kill a ship.  Jabo planes in the CT often also carry less bomb poundage on the average.  (I never even try to sink CVs in the CT any more, but did often in the MA.)

In the current set-up, the Allies have 3 virtually un-killable, un-deackable floating air base.  If the CV parks near a jap base, they have a huge advantage.
I have no problem with players using the tools of the trade as they are presented to them.  This is not a whine about any player action, only that the japs have no way to fight back against CVs that take a huge load to kill.

Because the CT has 1% to 10% of the MA population, and becase most CT planes have a lesser Jabo capacity, I would like to suggest the following:

Bomb poundage required to kill a CV should equal 1.5 times the greatest Jabo (or divebomber) loadout of the enemy country's plane-type.  That way it would require 2 good jabos to kill a CV.

Well CV's take 8K of bombs to kill, or about 3 P38's. or 8 georges or say 5 Ki 67's, or 3 torpedos. Trick is hitting them withen the damage windo, which is I beleave 10min.

Exactly my point Brady, to get 8 hits, you've got to send up 24 guys in one sortie, or 12 guys in two.  (2/3 of players miss) Either one never happens.

Well we cant acount for bad shots, A CV is prety darn easy to hit with a Jabo, and the average CT player is no newbi:)

I have adjusted obhect hardness in some of my Pac set up's in the past to acount for the lighter bombloads of Earler plane set's, it is realy up to the Staffer and his set up to adjust for this depending on the plane set/time frame.

The only counter I have to this is the observation that lighting the total amount neaded to kill the Cv from say 8k to 5K would reduce the total number of torpedos neaded to sink the CV to Just 2, and if you look at it from that aspect it may not be to hard to do, or rather to easy to do, a Ctach 22 it is, but again this goes back to the Staffer of the set up in question.
