Participation in Snap Shots and Check Six events
« on: March 20, 2001, 08:50:00 AM »
If you're new to AH, or even if you're old!...if you haven't participated in Friday nights or Saturday afternoons Snap Shot events, or SUndays Check Six events, you are missing about 50% of the sim! (Laz excluded, he's a furballer, oh wait!  We had that in this past weeks Snap Shot!)...seriously, they are ALOT of fun...this is where you get to fly some Perk Planes without paying for them!
Friday night there were over 80 participants!

Try to make at least one event a week!  They are well worth the time!

I needed to build up fiter perks in the sea to afford a tempest on Sunday.  Since I dont spend much time in the sea I didnt have them coming in.  You definately have to pay for them, perks from the ma dont seem to carry over and I was denied a perk ride on my first attempt.
Check six Sunday was a real blast..thanx guys and cya next weekend

Crash, they were disabled in SEA until I notified the CM that they were part of the scenario, you should have been allowed to fly them, no?

Unfortunately, having a Friday to Monday workweek (4x10 hr shifts) makes it next to impossible to participate in any of the "extra curricular" activities.

Until that changes, you guys keep posting your AAR's and I'll keep dreaming the dream.

When we use the "perk" planes in our events (SEA) they are free.   They don't cost you a thing, but are part of our events.

Here Here

The events are fantastic, and when organized well, as this one seems to be, they are AWESOME.  I've been playing Aces for a year and if you think a well attended mission is fun in the Main Arena, try THIS out!

Seriously, no perkies required....just fill your mug with your favorite beverage, have your significant other pull up a chair beside you to watch the fun.  I'd love to see huge turnout for this one!

If you like an atmoshere of fun and co-operation then the events are the place to fly! The name calling, macho posturing, excuse making and general verbal abuse that is so prevalent in the MA is pretty much absent in the events. Come see for yourself!

PZ, I believe you are Eastern time...
Saturday and Sunday, 3pm in the afternoon,  is that still late for you?  (Friday night is 10pm your time, but the same Snap Shot is repeated on Sat. afternoon.
