I used to play air warrior on-line about 4 years ago.  When I graduated from law school and started workin, I didn't have time to continue.  By the time I got to the point where I now have some time again, I have found out that air warrior is now defunct.  I would appreciate it if someone could please compare this game arena to that one, differences, similarities and which is/was better.  Thanx in advance.

Never played Air Warrior so can't comment specifically I'm afraid but as you get 2 weeks free in AH the best way is to give it a go, What you got to lose :) Loads of other Air Warrior pilots made the move and most are still here as far as I know.

A lot (most?) of the Air Warrior players came to Aces High when Air Warrior was killed off by Electronic Arts.  The sense that I get from them is that Aces High is simply better, and frequently they wonder why they waited to switch.

There are occasional quibbles about killshooter vs. persona non grata, but everything else is much better.

Download it, play with it offline for a bit and then try out the free two week trial.  I'm sure you'll love it.

Quite simply, Aces High is everything Air Warrior could have been and more.  I played Air Warrior right until the very end after starting in July 1998.  I started playing Aces High as well as Air Warrior in April 2001 when many people made the move, including my squad.

A big difference for many former Air Warriors is the fact that Aces High is totally FR, and many of them were used to RR; however, most have adapted very well and are enjoying AH as much as they ever did AW - perhaps more.

Best advice I could give you is to download the game - and the help files - and practice offline as much as you can first.  Read the Help files and have a look at places like Netaces.org to get as much information as possible before venturing online.  That way, you will be able to maximise your free two weeks to get the most from the game and made a decision.  I do hope you decide to stay - there are lots of us former Air Warriors here, and you are bound to recognise lots of names.

Welcome to Aces High, and look forward to seeing you in the MA.  :)
