Briges in Niemen
« on: February 23, 2003, 12:29:52 PM »
Hi,

I have a question.
How were the briges in niemen terrian made?
Ok I understand brige is runway but what is the colums
at the center of brige, how it was defined
viod object? bombiable?

Do I need  trains and convoys to resupply a fields?
it seems to be like there is no trains, canvoys and roads in
niemen terrain.

thanks

Tilt would be the best one to answer this question but I'll make a good guess :)

RUNWAY and PYLON shapes.
PROPERTIES?     If the whole thing is set as RUNWAY then you couldn't destroy it.
So it could be set as VOID, STRUCTURE, BOMBABLE

Trains, Convoy and Barges are not required.

They are set as structures although one or two are set in part to voids (these I missed during the conversion)

There are much better bridge building objects available now and the std bridge columns are much better than the stacked pylons I used........

HTC's standard bridge road is very thin and you cannot turn on it..

Also the angle is rather steep IMO......its presently bugged so its best to either wait till HTC releases bridges in all their glory.........or start using the new components to build one.

If you enable strat off line you will see all the trucks trains and boats in action on Niemen............ strat is disabled for the scenario.

Kudos pokie for all the early help re what can be done with tilting, turning stuff.

Niemen bridges are in fact set as depots and can be captured to influence GV movement about the terrain as well as playing a key part in the scenario objectives......... using a "tower" close to the bridge also switches off all clutter under it............which over comes a clutter bug associated with "home build" bridges.
