New squad starting
« on: March 02, 2003, 03:22:03 PM »
Okay guys.
Jester, a couple others from the 325th FG, and myself, are going to open JG-3 "Udet" This will be a dedicated Axis CT squad. Our hope is to level out the numbers a bit in the CT on Tuesdays, and Thursdays, while still giving people who like to be members of squads that option. The 325th will be under new leadership but still flying.

I need to go find my ols AC/DC cassette now and listen to "Back in Black":D

Attention Grissom if you want to help with building a new squad e-mail me at jvan325@hotmail.com

Hate to see you guys have to do that Lowe:mad:  Hard to believe there aren't any dedicated LW fliers out there willing to get a squad up and running.

For your efforts

Best of luck to you, Jester, and the other founding members of
JG-3, Lowe!

I think you're doing the CT a great service forming squads like this.   Lord knows it was time for a LW squad in the CT...

Ditto.   Can you PM me on the boards about your doctrine, ROE, etc.?  I'd like to take a look before begging aboard, if you wouldn't mind that is... ;)

History? - Yes, Lowe and myself started the squads VF-27 Hellcats, 27th Sentai & 325th FG Checkertails here in the CT.

The PM feature is disabled on this board Grissiom.

We would be glad to have you if you wish to fly with us a couple of nights to try us out.

We intend to set the squad up to fly useing original WW2 LW tactics, formations and radio callsigns. We want to give the feelong of flying with a real LW Geschwader. The squad will have a dedicated Staffle & rank structure. Both Lowe and myself have alot of experence flying LW from our days with flying in JG-51 MOLDERS from WARBIRDS days. While we are serious about it we do still aim to have alot of fun with the new squad.

This squadron will be "All Axis - All the time." We will fly the German planes when available and the Japanese planes during PTO scenarios to help out the CT. At least till there are numbers for the Japanese side.

We fly on Tue & Thur at 10:00 pm EST and have an informal practice on Sunday at 9:00 EST.

Website is under construction at this time so if you (or anyone else) wants to ask some questions you can drop me a line at:
afraize_99@yahoo.com

Drop by and fly with us for a bit. !

Welcome JG3, the Jabostaffel has a small, and i mean small, contegent flying in the CT now. It will be nice to have a fighter squad to provide cover for our heavy 109s,110s, and 190s.

Great web site!  Hurry and finish it!
Do all your recruits have to use the JB## callsign id in the game?  I am being tugged towards a LW squadron, but huge numbers of members can get confusing at times.

Then again, if I started a WW2 Mercenary Squadron (fiction being what it is in the gamin industry), I wouldn't be saddled with always playing Axis or Allies.  A little variation as it were.

tears at what little hair he has left  Argh!  You guys are keeling meeeeee with decisions! ;)

JG-3, et al: Think I'll stooge around as a guest in the CT until I find my niche.  No sense joining a squad only to wind up leaving a few weeks or months later.

Thank you all and at risk of being ever non-pc...

God bless
