Andrea Mitchell of NBC stated on Tim Russert's CNBC show early this morning around 4am that George Bush Sr. is unhappy with the actions and tactics of The President.
(paraphrasing) "The former President was very adept at foreign relations. His background stemming from his time as Ambassador to the United Nations and as CIA Director. While he won't publicly criticize The President, in private conversations he and former members of his Cabinet are worried by the actions and tactics this Administration. His open distain and criticism of The United Nations threatens to dismantle that organization and the future of World peace. The President is dangerously close to alienating us from future cooperation with The UN and the future of our role within that organization."
"The President has also been coached by The former President and his advisors to tone down his presence. This has been very noticable since the "48 hour" speech. They were afraid he was acting like a Texas Sheriff leading a Wild West Posse and was "Gonna Git `Em". The First Lady even remarked "You gonna git `em Bushy?" at a public appearence with The President and was overheard. Since that The President has been speaking very methodically and with hushed tones so as not to appear like a "Gunslinger"."
Once again, that's from Andrea Mitchell a Senior NBC Correspondant.
