Still mentally scared and still in shock over my bomber situation, I decided to up a Zeke and go furballing at a12 last night. After a few go arounds getting kills as well as being killed. The norm for me is get 3 kills die. But this time would be different. This time I will surpass the norm.
I, right at that moment, was king of the furball. Turn after turn after turn. A 109 goes down. Then another 109 falls victim to the zekes cannons. Whats this? A spit breaks left right in front of me. The deflection shot is on point today. Spit is no more. Like Denzel in Training Day, "King Kong aint got nothin on me!!!!"
The furball has now moved over towards A12. The smell of vulching is getting stonger as we push the fight closer to A12. I begin to count my beans and bullets. Fuel 25% "CHECK". Ammo 201 rnds of cannon "CHECK". Damage just a cut on my finger from the night before "CHECK". SO I head towards the furball for some more killin.
Thats when I seen her. All alone. Heading out to sea. Looking graceful as ever. Slowly flowing along the deck. Heading towards my CV. Ive seen this woman before. Ive waltz with her in the pass. Her name was KATE. She was low and slow. How and why was this pretty lady out here all alone?. So like a true gentleman...R.I.P SCAVENGER... I go diving down to meet her.
At 400 I open up with MG all I can see are round splashing into the water. Hmmmm am I missing? I cant tell sprite from splash. At 300 I open up with cannons. Slpashes are even more intense. Am I hitting my target? I cant tell damn splashes. Then as in one big slap across my face like I had violated her very soul she opens up with MG. I take hit after hit. But convinced that the cannons will get her to submit before she can hurt me I press the attack. But to no avail.. She had the attitude and sting of a woman with PMS.
I look around to make sure no one saw me get killed by Kate. I was in the clear. Free to relish the thoughts of what happened.
Then it happened... My squadie gets on channel 2 and says.....
"JAMUSTA JUST GOT SHOT DOWN BY A KATE"
Sigh..... With friends like that who needs enemies....
