Zigrat, excuse me if I'm wrong here, but shouldn't 10PM be 22:00 EST?

I didn't think DST was for another week?

cc. I took it to be 22:00 or 10pm eastern time.
I should be there tonight, barring a power out.

Isn't EST "eastern standard time"?  I didn't realise that eastern time was different from eastern standard.  I realise that some areas in the states simply ignore the DST altogether.  But when I look at the tv and see "EST" it is usually the same time that I look at my watch.  SOOOO based on all this confusion..I believe that you all should adhere to SCT (Standard Chaunc Time)  SO everybody set your watches to my time no matter where you live.
:-)
Just a bit of humor in a soon-to-be Clinton free government (unless New Yorkers are stupid enough to elect that lady who couldn't give a darn about NY but just wants the congress seat)

Yes, 10pm EST = 9pm CST
but, if you're in the US, chances are you're observing DST, so 10pm EST = 11pm EDT and 10 pm CDT.
the S stands for Standard, as opposed to Daylight

Was just in the arena. They said the thing starts in one hour. At 10PM CST. I know you don't mean for it to be zig, but this is getting damn bad!

I've emailed my squad with atleast 2 time corrections today. Ya oughta just put in there, Med league tonight at 10:00 CST. And let us calculate what time it is where we are. That daylight savings stuff up there screwed me up.

The smiley...

Hblair, the official time table (EST) is on Zigs page: http://www.iit.edu/~buonmic/med.htm

Use this time zone converter to convert it to your own time:  http://www.timezoneconverter.com/cgi-bin/tzc.tzc

Use Zulu time for cryin out loud!

1800 (6pm) Zulu:

1300 East coast (-5 hrs)
1200 Central (-6 hrs)
1100 Mountian (-7 hrs)
1000 West coast (-8 hrs)

Simple, easy, and a LOT better than Zig trying to convert 'em all and getting people confused!
