the $19.95 offer dealy thingy
« on: October 25, 2000, 06:33:00 PM »
HI all:

as I got tried od reading all the remarks towards to $19.95 offer to newbies ans such. I did not read them all BECAUSE THERE ARE SO DANM MANY OF THEM. so I decided to skip ahead and start my own post.

Now pyro, I can understand what it is HTC is trying to do here and I can understand as to why it is being done in this manner.
But maybe, just maybe, HTC could offer the current paying customers the discount well you are doing your marketing test. I think that would make everybody happy, but then it may not. any how, this is just a thought.

Then what wolf when IF they see it's not going to work..ie.bring in more customers so the money equals out..etc.

What are ppl going to do if prices raised back up?   They'd start griping like they have in the other thread just reversed.

HT and team have made a bold decision.  I'm glad they did.  If things go well then it will benefit all of us.

Downtown said it well in that if they did what you suggest and the ppl didn't come...what then.  Are the same ppl getting worked up over this business decision going to be happier if HT then went under?

I'm not really directing this at you more of the post in the other thread.  I mean would I like a lower rate?  Hell yes..i'm living in a cardboard box now    But I'm still extremely willing to pay my normal sub and let a few ppl get a deal if that brings me the chance of seeing this game grow and eventually filter down to me.

Apers idea was the best LOL!! I'd take the EarlyBird plan..
10Bears

How about different price plans depends on planes?
Perk plan: $39.99 (Do-335, P-51H, Ta-152 etc)
Late war plan: $29.99 (P-51D,F4U-1C, etc)
Middle war plan: $19.99 (La-5, Bf109G6, FW-190A5, C205, SpitIX etc)
Early war plan: $9.99 (Bf109F, SpitV, C.202, LaGG-3 etc)
Pre-war plan: $4.99 (I-16, Buffalo, A5M, etc)

All plans can play in one Main arena

Hehe,

Give each price plan, "a step up" when attending an HTC Special Event for promotion.

But I'd guess they would have to give the $39.95 crowd F16's

A thought just poped into my head here guys.

Joemud has had 47 free 2 week accounts, so ill assume he will get 47 emails offering him AH at 9.95. That means he could open another 3 accounts for a total of 30.00 and possibly be even more annouying that before.

Let pray he has the good sence to stay at Warbirds.

Dog out...
