DOH! Anyone else done this??!

Hi

There I was just finished reading the messages on the BBS and now time for Aces High.  I launch the program and await to enter the arena.  The map comes up in a jumble of differently owned fields but still no one talking in the buffer.  I go away to get a drink and return.... still no one talking in the buffer.  Hmm... lousy connect I guess... then I realise that I had selected 'Offline' instead of 'Online'...  Hmm!    I know I have been feeling pretty ill lately but not that bad!!  

Please tell me I'm not the first to do this?!

Congratulations on "fessing up"!

We all actually watched this happen and were howling online about this but were too polite to mention it UNTIL you did.   Of course after this NO ONE will ever fall victim to this situation again. You blazed a path and none will follow!

I think I've done one worse, I hit "online" once when I just wanted to fly around offline, and since I wasn't connected to my isp at the time it caused a system lock and I had to reset my computer.

Although not an actual error. (a cool bug)

I was looking at a film in AH.
Without letting it end, I hit "quit".
I then entered a H2H host.
Surprise !
Although I was online/H2H.. the film started running again.
WHILE I was online/H2H !
I could send messages in the radio buffer and receive responses from other H2H users and....
All the while I could see the Film playback and radio text.
