IMHO it should be every 2 years.  4 years made sense back in the olden days but travel is a lot easier now.

Not sure which sport your talking about but think of the poor sportsman/women. They need time out to sponsor all the crap that makes them multi-millionaires by the time they're 21 :)

on the off years they do the regional cups, which are pretty big deals.  I remember being in Munich with your ex when Germany won the eurocup many years ago.  Now _that_ was a party.

We have the European Championships in between, and I think the South Americans/Americans have a similar deal. Besides, a World Cup year is exhausting for the players who end up having no end of season break.

The world cup would lose some of its value if it was every 2 years.  Also how would they fit in the olympics and European Championship qualifiers and finals, Copa America + world cup qualifiers etc. in the gap year?

i saw it... sucked...
At least they played better then the first game in Stockholm.
They played very well between first and second goal, and ref sucked major ass. Fauls stats were like 2x more for sweden then poland, they get 1 yellow and we get like 70 !!! Did you guys buy him with little boys or something ? :D
