rubber bullet effect
« on: November 04, 2003, 03:28:31 AM »
I'd like to know what's going on with AH lately. I'm online with cable. When I shoot planes say from a b-17, it takes tons of hits to get a plane even smoking. Yet when the tables are turned, 1 little ping and my wing comes off. I just had a p51 take off both wing tips at the same time. He sat there behind me firing away while I shot the sh** out of him. Nothing happened to him. I've been noticing the same effect in dogfights. Is there something wrong with my connection that is creating this "rubber bullet" effect? I've had the same problem with FPS games. Wonder if there's some setting that needs changed.

Try enabling VSync and turning off the anti-aliasing on your video card.  That seems to help some that have had problems with the rubber bullet syndrome.
