1.993 some more finds
« on: November 07, 2003, 02:01:44 PM »
Intel P4 1.5GHz
Win XP home
512MB ddr RAM
Asus P4G8X Deluxe
ATI Radeon 9500 Pro 128
CAT 3.8 drivers
Sound Blaster Live value

C47- minor graphics glitch in artificial horizon, there's a flickering horizontal line.
The co-pilot airspeed indicator does not work.
The co-pilot turn coordinator is a bit more sensitive than the pilot's.
The instrument panel is visible through the fuselage when close up.
When viewed from underneath, the flaps area flickers unless the flaps are deployed.

And although the flight model is still in the works, the 27k rocket boost still exists, just a reminder :)

With gondolas on, there's a small orange line visible on the right wing, can be seen from internal and external views.

The artificial horizon has a blue flickering line between 30-60 degrees. Zoomed in the 'ball' itself flickers.
Altimeter needle flickers, as does the turn coordinator needle, clock needle, and the true airspeed indicator.

When machine guns fired, a triangle appears on the instrument panel just above and between the compass and artificial horizon. This triangle shows outside the plane around a green strut bar?

Some instruments visible external side views close up.

In the hangar, the gun choices are identical.

Fuel gauge has writing vertically displayed and larger than it should be.

Turn coordinator needle drops from default position in left turns.

At one point, when flying in the general direction of the sun (maybe 5-10 degrees off heading directly at the sun), the artificial horizon would light up when doing turns. I was unable to duplicate this in other attempts. Didn't change anything during flights.

Turn coordinator and lit up artificial horizon

Back to normal, note the heading doesn't change much

Cannon muzzle flashes through instrument panel.
No muzzle flash in external views for cannons or MGs.
No tracer smoke from outboard cannons in internal view.

Landing gear strut pops up through wing during retraction/extension. Extra rear wheel on ground.

Some instruments visible external side views close up.

Hit sounds on close objects no gun sound.
Hit sprites on trees, ground hits on tower hill show dirt kicking up in default view (when zoomed in dirt can no longer be seen)but no hit sprites on buildings or dirt effects on anything else.

Flickering clipboard that hides part of dashboard.

Troops/cargo carried shown vertically and larger than normal.

No ground hits shown when firing MG.

Crashed into a grain storage tower) near an abandoned barn/house (tried to drive through it) :)

Could go through the trees lined up in rows, could not go through brush.

Right wing rocket tubes do not show from internal view. Don't show at all in external view.

Left wing muzzle flashes show through canopy bar.
Right wing has no muzzle flash.

Oil pressure needle not right.

Got the same problem with the artificial horizon illuminating from the sun. Flew N then E as I approached E it lit up, went back N did slight banks left/right and it lit up.

Turn coordinator needle dips slightly when banking left.

Right main gear light area is darker than rest. When gear down light is dimmer than other gear lights.

Some instruments visible external side views close up.

Turn coordinator needle same as P51B, dips slightly when banking left, also more subtle but looks like it moves up a little when banking right. Could be the same in P51B.

External views close up shows a blue and black rectangle (guessing it's the artificial horizon). One view (forward-up) external close up shows the blue/black rectangle and a blue/black square.

All rounds turn into crosses when fired.

No hit sprites on buildings and some other objects and no ground hits shown.

Pintle gun not displayed correctly, the rounds go to the right of the sight.

Can't spawn from hangar, crashes trying to go through door.

Same problems with rounds displayed as crosses as in the panzer.

Crashes leaving hangar even though it looks like plenty of clearance on both sides and top.

No muzzle flash from right wing internal view.

Left/left rear view external close up shows a grey hexagon. It flickers in left view when flying, solid in other views.

Some instrument show through

Bomb drop note: other bomb was not visible either

Remember to post your system specs aswell, I think your graphic card and what drivers it uses may be specially interesting.

Was dicking around in a 109 last night...landed, taxied into
a hangar area and exited. Clicked on map to go to a fleet
and got to a port instead ( icons were close...map was small)

got a "you can not fly..." message...clicked on CV after
realizing my mistake. At this point my memory is a bit
fuzzy as to what I did but after finding nothing in the
hangar to fly or shoot I clicked on one of the other
fields to get back to a plane.

Got a clipboard with no text in the lower right where
you would normally find tower/setup/hangar/etc

In short, I was stuck in limbo...couldn't fly, couldn't
exit...had to ALT-TAB out and use XP task manager
to kill AHII.

As I recall, there may have been a bailout involed there
somewhere.

I'll try to duplicate this later...gonna go fly AH for a bit.
