To be a fighter pilot...

Thanks Mjolnir, thats exactly what i was lookin for, math isnt my strong point, but if i put time into it i can do it, guess i better start gettin my watermelon together now if i plan on going that way.

Thanks to you also Mr.black, yea sniper i dunno it all seems cool, the main reason im kinda rethinking sniper is the jobs, i dont wana serve, end my duty, and have no jobs waiting for me and be poor, the mind set, ive talkd to alota people about being a sniper, talkd to some former snipers...

they all said pretty much what you told me, seems fun when your thinking about it, turns out to be a personal job and one that you cant really use later in life, as for me i know i could kill someone if they were the enemy being as i know theres a good chance they will either kill me or take me prisoner of which neither sounds to fun, someones gotta die,

although i hope i never ever have to kill someone while i serve, thats why im really leaning towards pilot, ur up there 25,000ft at least you dont see the people before they die, also seems alot safer up there:D

btw im not some wierd little kid that thinks killing people is fun, and i dont wana serve in the military to kill people, just if someones an enemy of our country and im asked to fight and those people are gonna be hunting me too then i could live with myself, id just hope god forgave me.

Whaddya mean no jobs?  Check out the want ads in Soldier of Fortune, and read between the lines....

Lots of mercenary work available....

The CIA had an opening for an assassin. After all of the background checks, interviews, and testing were done there were three finalists — two men and one woman. For the final test, the CIA agents took one of the men to a large metal door and handed him a gun.
“We must know that you will follow your instructions, no matter what the circumstances. Inside this room you will find your wife sitting in a chair. You have to kill her.” The first man said.“You can’t be serious. I could never shoot my wife,”

The agent replies, “Then you’re not the right man for this job."

The second man was given the same instructions. He took the gun and went into the room. All was quiet for about five minutes. Then the agent came out with tears in his eyes. “I tried, but I can’t kill my wife.” The agent replies, “You don’t have what it takes. Take your wife and go home.”

Finally, it was the woman’s turn. Only she was told to kill her husband. She took the gun and went into the room. Shots were heard, one shot after another. They heard screaming, crashing, banging on the walls. After a few minutes, all was quiet. The door opened slowly and there stood the woman. She wiped the sweat from her brow and said, “You guys didn’t tell me the gun was loaded with blanks. So I had to beat him to death with the chair.”

Holden McGroin,

LOL!!!!! :rofl

MaddDog,
How tall are you? Too tall you probably won't find yourself in a fighter. High G maneuvers not forgiving to the tall folk (blood pressure to the brain and all that).
Good luck to you.

Get good grades,  fucus on math. Take some math for summer school to give you an academic advantage going into high school. Join ROTC program when you are in high school. Stay in ROTC when you get to college.  Study Aero something or other. Finish College. Get your F-22.

Well, if you have the cash to spend on getting your license, go for it.  The more time you can get in the air, the better.  It won't necessarily give you an advantage, but flying time is flying time, and there's no such thing as too much.  If you don't get it ahead of time, the AF will pay for it, like I said.  Personally, I can't see spending $5,000 on something I could get for free.

And just so you don't get confused:  enlisting and being commissioned as an officer are two totally seperate things.  You want to be thinking the officer route, if you want to fly, and that means an Academy or college with ROTC program.
