I am now accepting campaign donations.  Also if you are young and of the female persuasion I am accepting intern applications.

It takes an insect to set-up the CT.

Great.

If we get Arlo and Bug at the government, can we organize raiding parties to destroy the regime like US did in Iraq?

Bug,

I'd like to hear a campaign speech. Why should you be a CM? Don't be vulgar or disrespectful please.

i'd rather see him list 2 or 3 setups that haven't been done. plus list modifications 2 or 3 that have been done...

as a bonus question, what arena setting controls the stall characteristics of planes?

"Regime Change"  I like that :)

Kweassa how does Secretary of State sound to you.

Campaign speech?  Well Jazz I mostly bring up these threads to help fuel my desire to see some of these "Old hand" CT staffers, technically not CMs btw, step aside and let someone else give a crack at it.  There is pretty much no chance for me to get into a staff position.

But putting a little thought into it ....

As for new setups I think I'd be pretty hard pressed to come up with something that would be totally new, just due to the planeset limitations.  My ideas for setups hinge mostly on, no or very limited substitutions, focusing on two aircraft and/or Air Units, ground capture ONLY when it makes sense.  Taking the current BoF setup I would run it more along these lines.

Highlight the RAF's Hurricane squadrons struggle on the continent against the LWs elite Jagdgeschwaders.  Only fighters enabled would be Hurri I vs Bf109e.  Only bomber would be the Ju87 and c47(only for LW).  Vehicles would be M3s and M8s.  Field capture would be enabled, minimum 15 troops possibly over 20.  That's it.

I'm also not sure what is possible radar-wise, but I would love to see Dot Dar enabled only in the tower, Bar dar enabled for both flight and tower.  But again I say I am not sure if that is possible.

I am also for more CT staff interaction, from polling the arena and forum for set-up ideas, setting up and organizing a mission night and possibly allowing in the setup for promotion rides.  The staffer would be on one evening at least (Tues night is always good) and all pilots who land 3 or more kills is allowed a "promotion ride" for he and his wingman.

I guess that is what I'm striving for the most, greater staff interaction.  Instead of just having some guys change the setup each week like robots.  Some, and yes I do understand not all, have absolutely no interaction, which includes never setting foot in the arena for months on end.  I do understand the job may lose it's luster or real life gets in the way.  Just asking them to have the common decency to step aside and let some one else try it out.  I really don't think that CT staff positions should be a life-term.  Maybe 4 positions with 2 rotating out every year, if someone chooses to step up and take it.

You got my vote Bug<>.

I would personally like to see an equal amount of Allied and Axis CT staffers. As each staffer came up with a new map, let all involved check it over and agree that it would be a balanced and fair map, long before it was released for play.

I am not saying that anyone is favoring a particular side, I am just saying that with more involved in a certain set-up, maybe all of the crying and whining would start to reach a minimum level, but I guess that is like Miss America calling for world peace!

I have seen some very great set-ups in the CT, but have also been on the unforgiving end of a few real stinkers.

Hell ya it would

My ideas for setups hinge mostly on, no or very limited substitutions, focusing on two aircraft and/or Air Units, ground capture ONLY when it makes sense.  Taking the current BoF setup I would run it more along these lines.

Not substituting planes screws stuff up so bugger that plan.

That's it.

Pull a stunt like limit bombers and base capture equipment to a single country and you'll be hanged. I will even go out and buy the rope and pick the tree for the lynching party. Perhaps Esme will bring picnic boxes. I'm certain awWhiskey will bring the beer. No way. You'd screw peoples scores by keeping them out of bombers, etc. You'd tick off the people who enjoy a nice evil, quiet bomber mission. You'd kill the fights that start over Axis capturing a base and Allies trying to get it back or vice versa.

I'm also not sure what is possible radar-wise, but I would love to see Dot Dar enabled only in the tower, Bar dar enabled for both flight and tower.  But again I say I am not sure if that is possible.

Not possible

Not certain what your talking about here. You might not be either. Keep thinking about this.

I guess that is what I'm striving for the most, greater staff interaction.

I'd settle for staff that actually listens when you say that X is totally effed up! Jester comes to mind as being workable. Brady would be the antithetical rock head.
