I was checking out on the web about my countryman Ader Clement, who left the ground in his engine powered "bucket" 13 years before the Wrights. Flight or just hops, there's a controversy, you can open your mind from those sites:

That's not really the issue, I was wondering in other countries in late 1800s, early 1900s who's your local aviation pioneer and how his machine worked/looked like?
