Setup for January 2 - 8: Rhine 1945

"Not the Merlin 61 Spit IX, which is what AH has."

CT setups will never be so detailed as to assign subtypes based on the exact engine or fuel. We dont have the planeset for that, and probably never will.

The "E" wing Spit IX and Spit XVI were used untill April 1945, so it may not have a Merlin 66 but it has the right armament, so I guess it all comes out in the wash.

Like I said, its not required, just a comment.

There were no 109G2s or 190A5s flown by the LW in 1945, but I have no big objection to them being included other than it takes some of the "atmosphere" away. They had 1000's of 109G-10, 190D-9, 190A-8, and Me 262s being produced monthly, all brand new...the shortage was fuel and pilots, not airframes.

I think the 11 would be closer. the 109f would turn inside the 25 with 94% of the jug pilots

can someone fix the map? 262's are everywhere & p38 is nowhere making the allies fly j bout nuthin but temps and spit14s

Personally ... I would too ... even though I had a little too much fun last night flying the Tempest (what a wickedly uber prop!). But I was told I'd be hung by my pubic hairs over a vat of boiling benzine if I made a noise to the authorities.

So I suggest flying a Temp. It's a delightfully nasty plane that can do everything well ... turn, climb like a rocket, accelerate, it's fast,  it has punch, can carry 2k ord ... and any 262 pilot that gets overconfident with one being driven by a cool hand will find itself grounded.

The AH Spit IX does approx 320 mph at sea level. The 1945 Spit IX and XVI did about 360 mph at sea level. The AH Spit IX has a max climbrate of about 3800 ft/min. The 1945 Spit IX and XVI have a max climb rate of about 5500ft/min.

Im not disputing your #s but its worth noting that the P-51D, P-51B and Mosquito VI aslo used 150 octane fuel at some point, not just the Spit IX.

today i was in the CT..and the perk multiplier was at (.28)...whats the deal..i mean the 262 was at about 38 perks or 48 perks cant remeber......i only  had like 20 perks..and flew a tempest and lost it casue i kill shooterd my self....hehe..but anyway...i fly a couple missions and get a number of kills and  even jabo a factory a couple of times..and what that gave me was a STAGGERING 2.56 give or take a few,all together giving me about 4 WHOLE perks...so its almost impossible to fly anuther tempest or 262 by the end of the week..so that just rules out the fun of having P51Ds fight  my 262s...or my tempest fighting a 262... but other than that the set up is great ! :D

Actually I've began the week with 35 perks and now I have 35. I've lost 1 262 in collision with b-26 (bailed ;) ). -9.5 perks (get 1 pony and 2 b26s kills before in 262)
I've get some kills and even 1 262 in pony (3.5 perks). Thus flying couple of hours (ok maybe 5 hours) I've get 10 perks (-3.5 for 262).

I do not see real problem with perks - at least I see a lot of players flying 262 - even too much

Well color me red and smack me arse with a frozen muckaluck. I'll add it tonight when I get home from work... unless another CT admin sees this msg before I get home. :D

38 perks to fly a 262???

Yep, side/perk balancing is on.

Just to clarify with everyone, the reason it's on is to make sure everyone doesn't hop on the Axis side and ride their 262's and 163's like a swarm of masketies on a warm summer day in Mississippi.  I wanted to make sure those two beasts weren’t overused.  Until the perk points are adjusted from my setup (Skuzzy?), it'll stay on. Hopefully they'll be fixed for Tuesday squad night.
