I like the joystick selector thingy of AH1, we get to map loads of stuff to our joystick axes...

...any chance of adding things like:

* TRIM (elevator, aileron, rudder)
* flaps

and in the uncertain future, possibly:

* radiator (if modeled)
* mixture (long shot, I know)

I'm one of many TM Cougar owners in here... any idea how cool it is to have responsive elevator trim on the ANT rotary?

I would gladly give up combat trim to have the ability to map trim to the rotaries on my X-36.

I have tried the trim functions assigned to the cougar rotaries in AH and IL2, personally i hate it as it is too easy to  knock the rotaries causing much cussing to be heard.

How have you assigned AH trim to a rotary?

The only way I can think of wouldn't be of much help to me.

I assigned it using the programming ability of my joystick not the joystick setup in AH.
Cougar same as you.

Yes, please allow each trim to be assigned to an analog axis.

My digital assignments work in a crude fashion at best.

On the subject of joystick axeeeeeees, would it be a problem to put a numerical readout on the settings? You get it set just right, or someone else does,  and the only way of duplicating it is visualy - yuk. How hard would it be to put some numbers on those sliders?

Don't know if this helps you but you can find out what those numbers are by opening up your stick.cfg and looking at the last three lines.  They look like this:

0.45,0.49,0.53,0.57,0.62,0.67,0.73,0.83,0.93,1.00
0.45,0.49,0.53,0.57,0.62,0.67,0.73,0.83,0.93,1.00
0.45,0.49,0.53,0.57,0.62,0.67,0.73,0.83,0.93,1.00

Think the top line is for roll, 2nd line for pitch and the last is yaw.

Could you explain how you programmed it, you might have found a useful way...

The only way I can think of is to make the rotary behave like a sticky button, hence no real benefit.

Can anyone help me make sense of this? ;)

jodgi,

These are the lines in my Cougar file:

RNG   /I 5 3 (0 35 65 100) TrimRudderRight ^ TrimRudderLeft
   /O 5 3 (0 35 65 100) TrimAileronRight ^ TrimAileronLeft

ANT   5 3 (0 35 65 100) TrimElevatorDown ^ TrimElevatorUp

Just want to say that I think we need to have some way of showing the trim as an analog device as Karnak has suggested to me. It sure would help eliminate guesswork on how to get functionality with rotaries and hat switches on all the various sticks like CH, Thrustmaster and Saitek that support those different controls.
