old puter had same fps issue as this one....

my old puter til couple months ago when i moved was...

win 2k pro
ati 9700 64mb
amd atholon 1.4 gig
333 fsb
512 ram
gygibyte mb forget bios version but was newer and up to date

in ah i got 98 fps in ah2 i suffered 23 fps and lot of stutter
even with everything off

this this crap is a

win xp home
gateway p4 2 gig
400 fsb pc133 sd ram
runing ati 9200 128 mb cat 3.10 which for some wierd reason gives me 62 fps in ah and only 12 in ah2
i can get more specs if needed

so i dont get it...

Your older computer was a lot faster than your new computer.  The video card in your old computer was at least a good 2x faster than the 9200 in your new system.  (The rest of the old system was also faster as well.  A 1.4 Tbird Athlon with DDR memory is going to be a bit faster than a Willamette 2 GHz P4 with PC133 Sdram.)  

The low frame rates on your old system with AH2 was/is happening with all Radeon 9500 and up users in AH 2 beta.  There's some bug causing the low framerates.

Dude,

Grab the 9700 from the old puter and swap with your 9200 - best decision you'll ever make....same drivers to boot...make sure you uninstall the old ones and reinstall when you replace the card...you'll not regret it


P.S. are you sure your ram is PC133 SDRAM? - thats slow ram
