How can I make it more visible? Change the color of LOGO_a?

I dont do much with noseart, but the way I would do it would be to change the color of the noseart, thers almost no way I know of to make it more visible without chaning the colors.

Your nose art needs an Alpha... that's what the "logo_a.bmp" is.

If you changed the Logo.bmp file, you need to make a new alpha for it to work right. Think of it as a mask for spraypainting... the part of the nose art that you want to be visible is represented by white on the alpha; everything else that you want to be invisible becomes black.

Look at the files "markings.bmp" and "markings_a.bmp" for a good visual example for this. They should be in your "savedTex" folder... if not, save a TBM skin from the TE and you'll get them.

You can also make varying degrees of transparency by using greys in the alpha, but stick to black and white here.

The following is a bit of voodoo... save the alpha file as a greyscale, not indexed. I don't know why, I just know that it works this way.

I changed the logo_a to black and white earlier and thats how it came out... then do I change it to greyscale and save it?(tried that and still same result)

Okay, Raptor... it was an easy problem, but probably not one that's ever been discussed in this forum.

First of all, it looks nice. :)

The size of your logo files was 128W x 112H.
It is very important that all skin and texture files be a multiple of the 8-bit format... 8x8, 16x16, 32x32, 64x64, 128x128, 256x256, 512x512, etc. If not, you will get very unpredictable results, even crashes.

Sizes like 32x64, 128x256, etc., are acceptable. But as a rule of thumb, always stick with the original skin's size.

ah i see. Serif automatically changes the size, so when I changed it to 128 is fixed the other side to 112 and i figured that was right. Thanks for pointing this out to me

umm... im having the same problem again...
not sure what the problem is this time; its the same size as the original (pudgy from p38 and it is saved as 128x32), and i have my alpha file in black and white (128x32).
