Dummy Round...
« on: February 05, 2004, 02:51:17 PM »
My father used this on me when I was 8-9 years old.  I started out shooting just fine, then after a while I couldn't hit anything to save my life.  He said I was flinching, I insited I was not.  Well...he sure showed me.  At this point in time, I'd fire the round, hand off the gun to my dad and he'd load another round.  He snuck in an empty and low and behold...Click and the gun was all over the place.  Now...I've yet to miss with one round in the last 4 years in the woods using my Remington 11-87.

2003 season - shot from a rest (4 wheeler seat) at 110 yards, 130 yards 2 shots/2 hits, one deer. (doe)
2002 season - 2 shots, 2 deer. (8 pt/doe)
2001 season - 3 shots, 3 deer. (8pt/2 does)
2000 season - 4 shots/4 hits, 3 deer. (11pt/2 does)
1999 season - 6 shots, 2 deer, 3 trees and a shrub.

I'd say I've learned my lesson.

This was supposed to go along with Ripsnort's thread.  Go ahead and delete!
