American military hires guards to protect them!

Well, what a surprise, another Miko post critizing anything and everything he can about the United States, only this time he is attacking the United States Army.   Sad but not surprising that at a time when most people are "supporting our troops", you are attacking and critizing them.

Miko, I kindly invite you to go Fxxx yourself.

Try not to think about these situations, as thinking isn't really your strong suit, you seem much more suited to cutting and pasting, leave the thinking to your beloved Libertarian heros.

I agree with Martlet, whats this "we" business?  Surely you aren't trying to equate yourself with Americans?

How typical that failiing the ability to present a good arguement or any facts,  you resort to fabricating a pathetic little "converstation".  Must be frustrating for you to be such a bitter fxxxhead beating your head against a wall because nobody agrees with you, because you can't find sufficient problems to concern anyone.

I wonder how you can hold your head up, living here and enjoying the freedoms that our military has provided and protected all these years while you feel the need to badmouth them?

I think its time we start a "plane ticket for Miko" fund to buy you a one way ticket back to the Ukraine (or France, you have plenty of fellow America haters there).

Go home, or at least go away you pathetic piece of dog****.

True - according to Washington Post (Feb 18), U.S. and coalition military cannot provide adequate protection for foreign contractors and iraqi colaborationists, so dozens of private security companies and thousands of private armed guards  are working there.

Miko, why are you criticizing this? It sounds like a Liberiterian's Dream- private enterprise in action. Seriously, you should be cheering this.

Miko, the more I think about this thread you started, the madder I get.

Do you actually know anyone serving in the military????  I seriously doubt it.

I do.  I know plenty of them.   My son is a Paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne, and currently serving in Iraq.  I have met a lot of his fellow soldiers, both enlisted and officers.  They are fantastic people, young, bright, full of life and energy, and completly professional in everything they do.  They train hard when in the States and they train even while deployed, training and preparing is almost nonstop, they are well equipped, capable and seem to fear nothing.  I wish I was young enough and good enough to be among them myself.

Right now they are fulfilling a mission, they are following orders, and working hard to make Iraq a safer place, a better country for it's citizens and giving them a chance to form a representative government that will allow them to enjoy a safe secure and prosperous life someday.

They don't question why they are there, why the war started,  and all the politics  involved.  They just do their job, and do it well.  They did the same in Afghanistan.

WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING FOR ANYONE OR ABOUT ANYTHING??

NOTHING!

You sit on your bellybutton and criticize anything and everything about the United States.   You contribute nothing to anyones lives, you just waste space.

Skuzzy can ban me for this, but you better hope I never meet you in real life.
It won't be pretty.

BTW, the new Esquire has an article about the private security firms operating in Iraq.  Very interesting.

But I did not think US troops needed that kind of protection.

How about different rules of engagement for military and civilian "troops"?   The civilians may be able to operate easier

I didn't expext I would have to explain this, oh well, here it is.

A parent is very much responsible for the values a child learns. Most people that turn out to be happy and productive members of society owe it to their upbringing.

Most parents would spare their children any pain, especially that of going to war, when possible. To send a son or daughter to war has to be one of the hardest things a person can do. To ridicule such a person that very much shares in this sacrifice only shows your ignorance. If you had a child and were a half decent parent you would understand.

Seemed to me and likely others that Miko was slandering US armed forces in his musings. Miko tries to hide his bitterness and contempt for everything American under the guise of Libertarianism. He may have himself fooled but not everyone else.

I have to you this GScholz, you are more open and honest about your hate for the US.

As I read the original article, I'm trying to determine if this was anything other then one Colonel hoping a ride (I have done this numerous times) with a civie convoy. I have visited sunny Iraq 4 times since Iraqi Freedom started and I have no recollection of any foreign or for that matter American security forces guarding or escorting American ground forces above squad level. I have seen several security detachments guarding American VIPs but those guys would generally prove to be Secret Service, or SF folks. The United States Army does not provide security detachments to foreign or American business personnel in Iraq. That is not our job! Frankly, considering the current situation, I would think a foreign security detachment might get better results, because they would not have to face the current bout of rapid anti-Americanism. Okay, I've had my peace, talk amongst yourselves.

I agree. Boards like this don't always lend themselves to effective communication.
