I think the purpose of "search is your friend" is to find the answers. Seeing as it is a four year old thread, you would think the answer is there somewhere.
Also, "search" could be used to discover what has already been discussed about something. Have something
new to add and you could start a
new thread, versus three trillion posts rehashing the same old subject with the same old information.
