Opinions are cool. Disagreements quite manageable.

I don't get people who have to use derisive language *all the time* when they try to make a point.

There's a distinct difference between.

"You have a point, but this and that is this and that way, hence it's not relevant to this subject"

and

"You're mentally unstable. Go see a shrink".

SWulfe and Dejavu are the bullies of this board - as such, we cannot expect them to be gentle

.

I find it much easier to get my point across AND accept thatI'm wrong not only privately but alsopublicly if I'm in a discussion with a person who has a basic knowledge of human communication and the psychology involved.

So, it depends on what ya wanna do - you want to discuss, or you wanna sling some mud?

Heheh, now I'm being general, but that's how it is methinks.

You all are confusing this BBS with the real world and that is confusing your views of what should be viewed as tongue in cheek.

How many times has Grunherz whined about the Chog? Well he did it again in that thread. The reference to being killed too many times by Chog's and thus needed to seek a psychiatrist is, well, quite obvious to me what that means. A joke, tongue in cheek, not close to serious.

It's cool though, the only quote of mine that is being pulled apart is being done by two LW...

Taking things out of context always work for you.

Oh well... I'll remember to take things out of context then post quotes and redefine what the quote means.

Here's what I think....

1. I think many of Wulfie's post are "over-the-top". Some are downright ill considered. But most were written in the spirit of good-natured buffoonery. Some people enjoy talking smak back to him, some people just roll their eyes, some overly self-righteous Canadian types stomp off indignant like some teenage girl who got felt up at a drive-in. Whatever. If you got a problem with him email him. Or email our CO.

2. I think DJ has every right to comment on any thread that is publicly available on this public bbs. I think many of his posts are contrary to the opinion of the unwashed masses and he's not intimidated by that. But I don't think that’s what annoys people. What REALLY annoys people is that a great deal of the time he is right and won't back down just to keep the peace and if need be can often whip out the stats he needs to prove his point. There are few things as annoying as being consistently and irritatingly correct... with data. Especially if it happens to be against the conventional wisdom.

3. hblair, ram, hazed and the rest of the swastika types never miss the opportunity to jump an AK. Their behavior is consistent and predictable. We've had trouble with their ilk before, I expect we will again. I don't give their opinions any more weight that a fart in the wind. I squelch them in the arena and I mentally squelch them on the boards.

4. I think you all need to shut-the-fug-up and enjoy the game. Life's just too fediddlein short for this.

Ah, now it was a joke. After more or less one week, now we discover it WAS a joke!

that is plainly false, wabbit and you know it.

If you didnt knew it, just go and search that film wich DjV posted some time ago on that sortie when he got 10 kills in a F6F. Look how "harshly" did I "jump" on him when he contacted me in private. There were no kisses nor hugs (lol). There was nothing harsh, either. It was a nice,if short, conversation between us.

I remember that at that same time Dejavu and me were having a heated discussion about cheating in the forums. I never called him anything in the forum, he didnt do it with me. We had simply opposite views and while we critized each other, we respected it. Online, we talked OK and with no problem.

Now try to compare that with what SW does each time that someone posts anything wich goes against his beliefs of what AH is or should be. From the flame to the straight personal insult, you can see all the spectrum of how NOT to respect other's opinion.

Wabbit, read again what I said about AKDV in my first message in this thread. AS you say I felt soooo VERY bad things about him, or about the AKs

I have no personal agenda against any squad as a whole. Certain individuals in certain squads yes. But if some of us say that SW's posts are too much is not because we have any problem with the AKs. It is because HIS POSTS ARE TOO MUCH. Dont try to look into confabulations because there is none. At least not from me.

No need to argue about this any more, just I say it again: you are simply wrong.

I thought I was on good terms with Curly and the rest of you guys. Got into a good dogfight with a couple of AK's last night. Sent <S> when they were over. I recieved some too. I have no problems with you guys in the arena or here on the bulletin board as a matter of fact, except for the SW's dribble. Why in the world you guys think he's some kinda cult hero is beyond me.

I don't recall ever having any exchanges with you ever. Did you used to be "wabbit" from warbirds?
