I rented the DVD with the first two episodes.  #3 and #4 was already checked out.  Looks like a good series to buy; maybe for Christmas.

If you have a BJ's in the area, look there.  When the DVD was going for 90 bucks or so, I got it for 25 from BJ's.

Eh, editing exceptions are made.  I remember one of the non-cable channels (ABC?) showed Saving Private Ryan, and there was no language editing, likely because it's sufficiently "documentary-like".  Same deal with Shaka Zulu when it aired years ago.  Lots of African chicks running around with naked breasts flopping everywhere.

Honestly I doubt the History Channel will edit it at all.

For some reason, I think the FCC leaves them alone because they broadcast 'educational' programing.  If Louis the XIV said '****" well whoopeeit, then the History channel lets him say '****.'

I figure BoB will be exactly as seen on HBO although I must confess... Im kinda in Rip's boat... only saw a few episodes.

Well worth the money to buy!

By far the best war movie ever made. You get to know some of the guys pretty well, the DVD has some of the real men talking before the episodes.

I felt like crying when some of the guys got killed or hurt.

Amazing men...

Man the part where Lt. Speers goes charging through the Germans was awsome! That guy rocked!

I think I will watch it again tonight!

That was definitely one of the best scenes. It removed any questions I ever had about the kind of guy he was. The time Bull got seperated from the Unit was great, too. Crawling thru the ditch with an out of control tank heading straight for him...wow.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.

Perhaps the best war film/series done.  It has one of the more genuinely real feelings to it I've seen.  Not all glamore... not all dreary... just what I'd expect from a group of people in that situation.

BTW... I've loaned it out to about 10 different couples.  All of them had it back to me in less than a week (It's 10 hours worth of shows).  All of them started watching just one a night, moved to 2 a night and watched the last 3 in one sitting.

Yeah that what was a good one too!

The whole Series is just fantastic.

The part were Winters charges up to the dike, and his men don't get the signal to go with him...

Can you imagine how that would have been?
