what did you pay?

yes the tremelo is correct...but is the SN# legit. i know 2 people who bought "SRV" models... paid over $1300 too.

only to find out a guy bought the pick guard and the reversed tremelo, mounted them on a plain sunburst strat woth about $600 and sold them as "SRV" models.

just a word of caution. email fender and ask about the SN#
I don't know what to put here yet.

I hade the serial # run by my local guitar store.
They say It is a 1995 SRV strat.

And top of that It has the poa farro frett board.
Very hard to get.
they only offerd it in the early years of SRV sig strats.
After that they wrere all brazilian rosewood.

You got it backwards.  Brazillian Rosewood was only on the early models.  The tree huggers didn't want any more being harvested and they switched to Pao Ferro since it was the closest thing they could find.

I've had mine for about 6 years now, never really play it that much.  The Texas Specials in it are a bit harsh for my taste.  I love the neck though and I ended up putting it my main guitar.

Yep yer right after looking it over it is brazilian pao ferro.
That SRV approved for use in the guitars.
Yeah Im looking foward to the Harsh growl of the Texas specials.
But that what Im into ya know.

My winning bid was $875.00

Not too bad for a 1899.00 guitar.

I unfortunately don't have another source to run the #'s.  I don't believe SRV had anything to do with the Pao Ferro.  If I remember right, he had died before the guitar even hit the market.

$895 is pretty close to what I paid for mine new.  Glad that they haven't gone down in value.  ;)

I believe the early SRV's had Brazilian rosewood fretboard..Until it was declared an endangered wood and is now banned...

It's a nice guitar..but needs a new pickguard unless u wanna get laughed at onstage.
