I tried talking to him but I think the two times I shot him down pretty much ended all negotiations.

Imitation is the highest form of flattery and all that.  Personally I thought the best one was when your aw id was AKAK! and some dude was flying around for a year as !KAKA.  Just be glad its not a squad name.  That was damn annoying and distracting when Murder Inc. macros kept flying around in the text buffer.

I remember that guy but never found out who he was.  I do remember him trying to hunt me down once and once that failed he pretty much left me alone.

I know the feeling.  I logged on one night and there was a player named "GoFast".

In Air Warrior I used the handle Pancake, then I found out over on Combat.Sim that there was a guy using "Pancake" to do the jet sims (EF2000 I think, and Su-27 Flanker, too).  So when I came to AH I came up with something I thought would be unique.

I've thought about changing to "GFShill" or something like that but my squaddies convinced me that the guys that use "--Shill" in their name end up getting called "Shill check 6!" and everybody stalls trying to clear their baffles. :p

edit: Looks like "GoFast" is no longer in the game, or at least not under that handle.  GoFast existed for the month of December, 2003, and has ceased to exist since.

I remember this German guy name Coolie, flew with the Krauts in WB,,,he's was awesome in the 109, I'd often get private message compliments regarding my 109 skills,  I always responded with a smile and thank you ( always wanted to be a good 109 pilot):D

I may not remember this correctly, but AKAK, didn't the AK's give you a hard time about your handle?  And didn't you tell them to step off.  Wouldn't this be the same type of situation?

Yes you've been imitated. Probably Chinese in origin.

Now AKAK kills are better than half price! :)
