Friday the 2nd's set up...
« on: March 30, 2004, 08:20:39 PM »
Kanttori and the CM terain team have created a Brand spanking new map and boy is it awsome, intened as a dual use map it will be ran in the CT this upcoming week and then used for the Upcomming event in May Designed By Batz with a little help from me.

 Soviet:

La-5FN
La-7 (limited)
Yak 9U (limited)
Yak 9T
Ki-67
A20G
Il-2
C47
All GV's (except LVT's), and the PT.

German:

Bf-109G-6
Bf-109G-10(limited)
FW 190A-5
FW190F-8
FW190A-8
BF-110G-2
C47
All GV's, and the PT.

Fleats enabled for the Germans.

Plane set is inteneded to represent what was historicaly present in this area during the winter perioud of 44/45, it is intenionaly limited to this end, the 110 is added simply to give the Germans a competative Jabo capabality for the CT, they were not present hear at this time.

Hardness settings are being considered at present, I am going to leave guns at default because their are lots of them, I am thinking of lowering SB hardness to around 2,000 pounds, as their are lots of them as well. I am going to leave town hardness at normal and leave down time at 45 min for the towns, troops at 8-10.

For those interested the Kurland-Kessel event terrain is up in the SEA. I believe brady said that they will try to run it in the CT on April 2nd. If you want an early look please stop by the SEA. I am not sure how long it will be up.

It takes a real minder reader to predict things after the fact :)

Just kidding with ya,

But anyway this is a new map and hasnt been test run anywhere except H2H. We would appreciate any feedback and bugs reports that may turn up.

This map features someting we call "defensive" vehicle bases. They have 12 manned ack (AT guns) and 3 shore batteries that can act as artilery. Around this base are walls, tress and damaged buildings that can be used for GV cover. It should take team work to capture one these bases.

Damn ... wished I'd run straight to the SEA and dowloaded the terrain now. Ok ... would a Kurland CT banner be a bit redundant?

One other thing not all of the skins made it into this build of the map. We ran into some real issues and didnt get them done before the date we needed to get the terrain to Skuzzy.

Last skin to do is the F-8 and I am working on it now.

I just finished up the panel lines and Rivets... Paint is next then weathering....

I still would like to make a "CT page" for this. Even if most just visit it, smile, nod their head and ignore it afterwards.

p.s. F8 skin looks perfect "as is." ;) (j/k)
