X45 and AH stick set-up
« on: April 05, 2004, 09:55:34 PM »
I'm sure that this question has been addressed, in the form, but i haven't been able to find the answer. (operator error? :-)

Can you use the Aces High Joy Stick set-up, to program the left hand roller knobs for trim use? I see that AH stick set-up does recognize the rollers but i can't find a way to assign them trim functions, In analog from.

I'm trying not to use the editor that came with the X45, the AH one is easier to use. Well, for me it is.

Not in AH1.  You can easily do it in Ah2 though.

Thx for the reply Laser, If that is the case then how do I completely disable the X45 in AH so I can use the X45 Editor. I tried it once and I think the two were conflicting with each other.

Also, Does anyone have an X45 Profile that uses the rollers for Alieron and Stablizer trim, but still uses the Rocker for the rudder (I don't have pedals YET). I have a profile from somone that had pedals, but it seems more trouble than it is worth trying to switch it all around for my configuration.

Thx Guys

if that is the case then is there a way to save my AH profile in the AH Stick editor, so I can use it later if needed?

I like my set up.

Main firing button --> Fire both.
Forward firing button --> Fire MG's
Button imbetween the two hats --> Fire Cannons
Red Button under hat --> Talk on local channel.
Bottom hat --> Views
Top left hat --> Trim
Pinky finger button --> Toggle Zoom
Big Yellow button on throttle --> Look up (used in conjunction with the hat)
Down on the 4 way on the far side of throttle --> Flaps down
Up on the 4 way --> Flaps up
Left on the 4 way --> Gear.
Right on the 4 way --> WEP.
Black button on the throttle --> Radio toggle button.

You could try to get the RPM for engine 1 and 2 to the two rotaries.  However, you need to calibrate with this a lot.  Otherwise it won't allow you to go 100%.
